Job description: The Stores Team is a 12 member team who interact with other branches within Council on a daily basis. Our work varies from day to day, including activities such as purchasing, stock handling either manually or by operating a variety of equipment, and managing both inventory stock and non-stock material. About the position:
The Stores/Purchasing Officer position is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of stores, including ordering, receiving and issuing of stores items and materials, along with management of non-stock material in accordance with policies and procedures.
- This is a permanent full-time position based at the Goombungee Depot.
- The annual salary range for this position is $63,038.90 – $68,282.40 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

How to be successful in this position:
- Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations or equivalent, and/or a combination of experience, qualification, and competence, which enables the incumbent to perform all duties of the position.
- Current Licence to Perform High Risk Work (Class ‘LF’ minimum).
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Current Telehandler Operators qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Current ‘MR’ Class Driver’s Licence is desirable but not mandatory.
