Our Accelerated Business Growth team helps Australian companies to grow their business in Australia and international markets by assessing their international readiness, accessing government incentives, and providing practical export trade and foreign investment advice. Our diverse and multidisciplinary team has broad experience in helping companies access support through tax incentives, grants and other sources of funding. We assist our clients to develop an enhanced innovation and growth program that leverages government support.

R&D Tax and Advisory
- Manage the delivery of R&D Tax Incentive and Grant engagements and help identify new ways for them to accelerate their research, innovation and commercialisation goals
- Act as performance development manager to a growing team and help mentor them on their professional journey
- Work with other KPMG professionals to assist our clients with other matters that arise from the above, including those relating to IP, structuring, finance and tax
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities in the local market
- Manage complex projects and deliver client engagements on time and within budget
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, such as the start-up incubator WSU Launchpad.

Your Experience

- Engineering, science, business, law or commerce-related qualifications with a key interest in technology and innovation
- Engineering, science, or information technology related qualification; and/or Business, Commerce or Law related tertiary qualification is highly regarded
- Deep level of expertise in R&D Tax, minimum 3 years of experience in professional services or in a university or other research environment
- Prior experience reviewing technical information, matching facts to the legislative eligibility requirements of the R&D Tax Incentive and other programs and preparing technical reports
- Previous experience reviewing cost reports and other expenditure sources to analyse eligibility of qualifying R&D expenditure incurred
- Previous Advisory Consulting skills – work with R&D project managers, CIOs, CFOs, Tax Managers and other specialists to obtain information required.
Please note, the salary ranges $110k – $200k+ with respect to your level of experience.
