Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform NDE examinations, and mechanical inspections from engineering design drawings and specifications.
Perform comprehensive inspection of gas turbine engines and hardware for serviceability and verify condition/work performed is in accordance with technical specifications, routers, manuals or other quality verification criteria.
Report and record findings in ARMS using GEK manuals as a reference.
Responsible for documenting product defects and generating Non-Conformance Reports in accordance with GE Aero GSC Control of Non-Conforming Materials procedures.
Ability to mix base/acid agents for testing and inspecting purposes.
Florescent Penetrant Inspection and visual inspection of Jet Engine turbine components and modules in accordance with all standard procedures and quality processes.
Ensure compliance with local and Federal wastewater requirements currently in place and future changes as required.
Transport parts to and from area as directed.
Drive safety requirements and compliance with current policies and procedures.
Serve as change agent within the organization to help improve current processes and procedures.
Maintain Level II Certification
Able to professionally interface with Engineers, Sourcing Quality Engineers, Customers, Suppliers, and external Inspection agencies.
Order chemicals, equipment and preventative maintenance items.
Maintain calibration of equipment.
Understanding of Aero Energy LM gas turbine parts and equipment including but not limited to Service Bulletins, Standard Practices and GEK.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum Level II NDT Certification with specific experience in Liquid Penetrant inspections.
Able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Code Specifications, to verify product compliance
Required to have knowledge of the following codes and standards: AWS, ASME, and PED.
Vision cannot be far sided.
Must be proficient in computer skills: able to create, edit, and format data in Excel spreadsheets; create, modify, and edit using the current business database
Possess experience or working knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management System procedures.
Able to read, write, and speak in English to a minimum of High School level proficiency
Ability to understand and follow work scope instructions

Level III NDT Certification
Create detailed PowerPoint presentations that include digital photographic inspection records
The pay for this position is $30.70 HR USD. This position is also eligible for 4% Aero Alliance Annual Bonus.
