Job description: As an Associate/Senior Associate in the Investment Research Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team’s strategic initiatives.
As an Associate/Senior Associate in the Investment Research Team, your responsibilities will include:
- Playing a crucial role in developing cross asset-class investment research.
- Conducting detailed investment research across equity markets, sectors, and geographies, with a focus on equity strategy/investment strategy.
- Enhancing existing and developing new econometric models across asset classes for forecasting.
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of macroeconomic and political trends.
- Developing long-term and short-term capital market assumptions and annual market outlooks.
- Utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills to create insightful and impactful investment commentary and reports.
- Creating proprietary tools to establish a legacy research function supporting overall investment objectives.
- Interacting with internal team members and presenting complex investment information in a clear and articulate manner.
- Cultivating a comprehensive investment research function while fostering a cohesive environment with other departments.
The Investment Research team reports to Head of Strategy, overseeing Capital Raising, Corporate Communications, Asset Allocation, and Portfolio Construction. This is a commercial research function, requiring interaction with investing teams, though not responsible for making investment decisions. The role plays a crucial part in providing guidance to the firm’s decision-making around investments and may involve occasional interaction with LPs.

The ideal candidate should possess:
- Approximately 5-8 years of experience, ideally in equity strategy/investment strategy within the equity research departments of banks.
- Strong knowledge of private markets is a plus.
- Proficiency in developing econometric models and conducting comprehensive investment research.
- Understanding of macroeconomic and political trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for impactful investment commentary and reports.
- Proactive approach to creating a comprehensive investment research function.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal teams and present complex information clearly.
