The Administrative Officer, Fees is instrumental in supporting all aspects of a student’s fees record, from enquiry to fee assessment, within deadlines and in accordance with University policy and commonwealth legislation.
Reporting to the Coordinator, Student Fees the Administrative Officer, Fees will work closely with Faculty Services, University Financials, Finance Business Partnering, Dean of Students, Digital Services to
- Coordinate, support and provide advice in relation to student fees
- Maintain broad and up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures and legislation relating to fees
- Provide advice on the administration and use of university services and functions.
- Contribute to any new or ongoing projects as direct by the Coordinator
- Provide a range of processing and administrative tasks in line with university procedure including requests, queries, or complaints to ensure student needs are met to agreed standards and timelines and provide a range of options and solutions as appropriate
- Support university governance, including work instructions, procedures and guidelines to enable and support the delivery of operations.
- Support and services on a range of university daily activities, resource planning, standards, operations coordination, logistics and on the job training
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
- Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone, and written issue
- Experience providing services and support in a large organisation
Special Requirements:
- Infrequent work outside business hours is required (e.g., work at evening or weekend events is required)
- Working with Children Check (refer to Recruitment Procedure)
