This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and obtain experience working as a Public Support Information Officer in the Regulatory Services Department, Public Enquiry Service Division, Victoria Police.

The Public Enquiry Service is responsible for National Police Checking and Fingerprinting Services, Traffic Accident reports and Crime reports for Insurance purposes.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to take ownership and build a long-term career with great development and progression opportunities Working in teams providing a range of administrative and customer service-based duties to ensure the effective delivery of services to support the Victorian community.

Your duties will include:

  • Assessing accuracy and completeness of information in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy obligations and other legislative requirements.
  • Providing an exceptional customer service, including ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded by taking ownership of assigned tasks and striving to track, follow up, and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Utilising exceptional and empathetic verbal and written communication skills while addressing customer support challenges.
  • Contribution to building and maintenance of our knowledge base and training materials.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with a diverse range of customers both internal and external to ensure the team goals are met.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Flexibility to adapt to and be a champion of change as is necessary for the unit’s function.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adjust communication style and messages to ensure clarity of understanding.
  • Ability to seek information needed to solve problems, and identify, and propose practical solution.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Four (4) x full-time, ongoing positions available.
  • Positions are located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
